Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Release Date

The Zenless Zone Zero release date for the 1.2 update is September 25, 2024. It is expected to be released at 11 A.M. (UTC +8) but has yet to be confirmed.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Banner

The Zenless Zone Zero banner will be released in two separate stages and feature S-rank agents Caesar and Burnice. The Banners will be available from September to November 2024. After this time, Update 1.3 will take place, but details have yet to be revealed.

Ember Crowned Overlord

• The banner will be available from September 25 to October 16, 2024. 
• Includes brand new S-rank agent Caesar.
• A-rank agents Piper and Anton will also be included.

Caesar’s W-Engine banner, signature weapons for your agents, will also launch alongside Ember Crowned Overlord.

Banner Born to Burn

• The banner will be available from October 16 to November 4, 2024. 
• Includes brand new S-rank agent Burnice.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Quests

The update will include two new quests for players to experience. A continuation of the main story, and an exploration of one of the Zenless Zone Zero characters – Burnice.

Chapter 4: Tour De Inferno

Chapter 4: Tour De Inferno will launch with the 1.2 update on September 25. It is the latest chapter in Phaethon’s Story, the game’s main narrative.

It will take place in a brand new area called the Outer Ring, located within New Eridu.

Players can unlock the chapter after completing Chapter 3: The Midnight Pursuit and the Special Episode: Undercover R&B. 

Burnice Agent Story 1.2

Burnice’s agent story, A Stroke of Luck, will be released with the 1.2 update. Agent stories dig deeper into specific agents’ backstories, allowing players to learn more about Zenless Zone Zero characters.

Players can unlock agent stories after completing Chapter 1: Intermission and unlocking the Video Archives. Additional stories are unlocked by progressing through the main story, Phaethon, and reaching certain inter-knot levels.

The New Eridu Outer Ring will be a new explorable area launching with the 1.2 update.

It is an area in the suburbs of New Eridu and is characterized as a ruthless zone operating under its own jurisdiction. The area is governed by the Sons of Calydon faction, who take on traits and aesthetics similar to a biker gang.

It is the home of the two new characters coming to the Zenless Zone Zero banner, Caesar and Burnice, who are members of the faction

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 End Game

The Zenless Zone Zero update will include new additions and features to the game’s end-game, which is designed for people looking for that extra challenge after completing the main story.

Withering Gardens Blitz Mode

Hollow Zero will add a Blitz Mode to the Withering Garden, the mode’s fifth zone out of six in total. The addition comes with a new change where players will no longer need to use the Monitor Array to receive buffs. 

Hollow Zero is an end-game challenge mode possessing roguelike mechanics. It challenges experienced players to complete zones, and tackle waves of enemies at increasing difficulty. It offers various rewards as you progress through the zones.

Hollow Zero is unlocked after completing Chapter 1: Intermission and can be accessed through the Compendium under the Challenges tab.

Shiyu Defense Ambush Node

Upon Zenless Zone Zero’s release time, the Shiyu Defense Ambush Node becomes available for players to experience.

Shiyu Defense Ambush Node is a new challenge mode that challenges players to vanquish enemies within a certain time limit. You must complete five different stages to earn rewards such as Z-Merits, Polychromes, and other useful items.

Shiyu Defense can be unlocked by completing the Inter-Knot Reputation Rank-Up Mission, which is available after reaching Inter-Knot Level 20.

New Enemies in 1.2

New enemies will be available to fight in the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 update. One is for the Notorious Hunt as a weekly boss, and the other will become a new addition to the Expert Challenge.
